OUR STORY BEGAN HERE

151 Mercer Street in Soho, NYC.

We were brought together by the vision of a young John McDonald who had a dream about opening a bar. The fact that none of us had  run a bar before, didn't stop us.

 

We followed John's lead, added some fairy dust over ice and shook. Little did we know that we were on the journey of building MercBar into the legendary nightspot it became.

 

We had a very simple philosophy, almost a mantra; "No Live Music, No Food, No Dancing — Just a bar!"

 

That DNA has served us well, as we replicated that in Phoenix AZ, and almost 30 years later, The MercBar is still "Just a Bar".

Since our humble beginnings, we have gone on to own, and operate new concepts, as well as work together with some of the most successful operators in the industry. With each project, we throw our smarts, experience, style, and most importantly — our passion.

 

As we embark on bringing more new concepts to Phoenix, a place like most growing cities that thrive on new things, we will always be humbly reminded about where we began and the amazing people we have met along the way.
